Things just happen, sometimes.

I love when things just happen. Some days are just writing days, moments when I have to free myself from all the heavy things.

A person I attended part of university with (I dropped it to start working, he graduated) showed up in the same office where I work. When I first saw him in the office, I wondered if I were dreaming: I left university for a reason, past can’t come back! … but past came back for a 6-months intership before going back to university to finish his studies. (btw, I cannot really imagine what the !!! would happen if Someone I Know comes in the office. I don’t even want to, damn it!)

Fate decided he’s going to work on a project where the person at the desk next to me is working on. That project didn’t start off on a right foot, though: very tight deadlines, new and unknown tech and teammates unwilling to work/cooperate. To make a long story short: this colleague is the only one that studies the new framework and the UI/UX expert always looks for someone to solve her own (work) problems, and that “someone” is… this colleague. yay /s

I think I know what he’s feeling right now: being a little man againts a big mountain that gets bigger and bigger, and you cannot carry everyone in the team, especially if they’re trying to tell you “we can’t do it” or actively try to disrupt your work. Problems start when you hear this sentence so many times you start believing it. I hope things don’t get so bad, and will help to avoid it.

…and here I am, writing this little thing here, ready to start working on that cute compiler I’m working on while listening to the Monstercat twitch stream to relax a bit. Hey, programming is writing too!
